Indonesia Cinemas, Piracy Cinemas?

hortatory exposition

Last year, Indonesia Cinematography is enjoying a boom. Indonesia’s cinema has a different theme with better stories.

For example “Buku Harian Nayla”. This cinema has high rates that starred by Chelsea Olivia. But actually, it was illegal adaptation from Japanese drama “One Liter of Tears”. Not only from the theme and story, even each word from the dialogue they cheat perfectly.

Why this problem is being so serious? Hm, not an easy question to answer. There is many reasons that makes the problem is being so serious.

First, this illegal adaptation is because the Indonesian scriptwriter creativity is decrease. They can’t make a story that beloved by TV audience. And of course, they’ll cheat another film (usually they cheat from foreign film).

Second, because those cinema is a duplicate, of course it lose out the real scriptwriter who has hardly make the story and with easily by Indonesian scriptwriter.

Third, if the real scriptwriter hears this ashamed news, it’s really ashamed for Indonesia. We have enough embarrassed with our corruption, which is at second place at South East Asia. Do we want to receive for “Illegal Adaptation Country”?

Of course, this problem isn’t easy to be change. But, if we want, we can change it. Why the production house not held a competition for making script film? Probably government can make law for the scriptwriter/ the production house to be banned them to cheat.
